ADHD Coaching for Children & Young People – Block of 12 Sessions

Ongoing support to understand ADHD, build confidence and develop strategies for everyday life.

Growing up with ADHD can bring challenges with organisation, time management, motivation, emotional regulation, friendships and schoolwork. When everyday tasks feel harder than they seem for everyone else, it can affect confidence and leave young people feeling misunderstood or overwhelmed.

A block of 12 individual ADHD coaching sessions offers your child the time and space to explore these challenges, understand themselves better and develop practical strategies that work for them.

Lasting change doesn’t have to happen all at once. Over 12 sessions, we can build a trusting coaching relationship, explore different approaches, practise strategies and review what is helping. This gives your child the opportunity to make adjustments along the way and develop tools they can use in everyday life.

As a late-diagnosed ADHDer myself, I bring both professional training and lived experience to my coaching. My approach is gentle, encouraging and neuro-affirming. This isn’t about changing who your child is or expecting them to fit a particular mould. It’s about helping them understand how their brain works, recognise their strengths and find ways to make life feel more manageable.

What to expect

Twelve individual coaching sessions: Ongoing support to explore challenges, develop strategies and reflect on progress over time.

A safe, supportive space: Your child can talk openly, ask questions and explore their experiences without fear of judgement.

A better understanding of ADHD: We can explore how ADHD affects their daily life, including focus, motivation, organisation, time management and emotional regulation.

Practical, personalised strategies: Together, we’ll find realistic approaches that suit your child’s needs, interests and circumstances.

Building confidence and independence: We’ll explore strengths, recognise achievements and develop skills that can support your child at home, at school and in everyday life.

Time to practise and adapt: Strategies can be reviewed and adjusted as your child discovers what works best for them.

Parent and carer communication: Where appropriate, I work in partnership with parents or carers, with clear boundaries around confidentiality and safeguarding.

Sessions take place online via Zoom, allowing your child to access coaching from a familiar environment.

Every young person is different, so sessions are tailored to their individual needs and priorities. There is no pressure to progress at a particular pace or get everything right.

Who it’s for

This block of 12 sessions is for children and young people aged 11–18 who have ADHD or identify with ADHD traits and would benefit from ongoing, personalised support.

It may be particularly helpful if your child:

Struggles with organisation, planning or managing time.

Finds it difficult to start tasks, stay focused or follow things through.

Experiences overwhelm, frustration or difficulties managing emotions.

Has lost confidence or feels misunderstood.

Finds school, friendships or everyday responsibilities challenging.

Wants to understand themselves and their ADHD better.

Would benefit from developing practical strategies and having time to practise them.

Needs ongoing support to build confidence, independence and self-understanding.

Twelve sessions provide more time to explore different challenges, revisit strategies and build on what your child learns along the way. Coaching is personalised, and progress will look different for every young person.

Your child’s safety and wellbeing

Your child’s safety and wellbeing are central to my coaching practice.

Enhanced DBS: I hold an Enhanced DBS check.

Safeguarding training: I have completed Level 1 and Level 2 safeguarding training.

Insurance: I hold insurance for my coaching practice.

Professional boundaries

Professional boundaries: Coaching agreements, confidentiality and safeguarding responsibilities are explained before sessions begin. More information can be found in my footer menu, or email me any questions you might have at hello@adhd-clearmind-coaching.co.uk

My aim is to create a supportive environment where young people feel listened to, respected and encouraged to be themselves, while parents and carers feel reassured about their child’s wellbeing.
